Trash Pick-up

Yellow bags are required

Year round pick-up at Michabous Shores entrance on Sutter Road every Tuesday, except during weeks when a national holiday falls on Monday or Tuesday, when the pick-up will be on Wednesday.

During summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), driveway pick-up is available. Contact Republic Services at (877-698-7274) to arrange this service.

Do not set trash out the night before.

Garlic Mustard (from The Invasive Species Network)

It may not come as a surprise to you - May is all about Garlic Mustard in northwest lower Michigan.

This year we want you to pull it when you are on your walks in natural areas. A few adult plants pulled along a trail can stop hundreds of seedlings next year while protecting the beautiful spring wildflowers that live there.

A full trash bag can mean the difference between habitat and inhospitable.

PLEASE DO NOT compost. Take your bags to the garlic mustard Dumpster next to the Cardboard Recycling truck at Frankfort High school. And please report how many bags you pull to The Invasive Species Network - Emily Cook via email at ecook@gtcd.org or phone (231)941-0960 ext 20.
